Mobile Service Provider

Identify DC operates as a mobile company, meaning we send a professional to you to fulfill all of your notary, fingerprinting and DNA testing needs. We do not have a physical location for customers to visit. Our service providers are available to come to a public or private location of your choice.

Your Submissions

Any information submitted to this site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. You agree that Identify DC may share or otherwise use and/or transmit such personal data for Identify DC business purposes. If any of the information submitted constitutes personal data, it will be treated as set forth in our Privacy Policy.

Appointments

Your appointment is fully booked after your appointment is paid in full. Once your appointment is fully booked, you will immediately receive confirmation and your service provider will contact you 1-2 hours before your appointment time to re-confirm the appointment details ie: time, location and service(s) requested.

Depending on the type of appointment, you will need to have one or more of the following:

  • Drivers License

  • State ID Card

  • Passport

  • Military ID

  • Government-Issued ID (non-expired with photo)

  • Social Security Number

  • ORI Number

  • CRD Number

Payments

Payments for services are made in advance by Zelle or credit card only. Service providers DO NOT carry cash. All payments are final and subject to the conditions outlined in our terms of service.

Refunds

All sales are final. Due to the nature of the services provided, we have a strict no-refund policy in place. By proceeding with the payment, clients affirm that they have carefully read and accepted our fees and terms of service. To ensure transparency and clear communication, we require full payment before the scheduling and confirming an appointment. Once payment is made, the appointment is officially scheduled then confirmed. At that time, the appointment slot is considered bought, ie: taken out of inventory and therefore non-refundable.

Cancellations

We understand that situations may arise where clients may need to cancel or reschedule their appointment. In consideration of our no-refund policy, rescheduling is permitted in lieu of cancellations. To accommodate clients’ needs, we created a cancellation policy where as our goal is to maintain our commitment to providing reliable and timely services. We ask our clients to aid in this effort by providing as much notice as possible for any appointment changes so we can accommodate their needs while still providing high-quality service to all of our other clients. With this in mind, to reschedule an appointment, kindly notify us at least 24 hours in advance. However, if a reschedule occurs less than 4 hours, or if the service provider is already en route or have arrived at the location and the service cannot take place due to any circumstance, a rescheduling fee will be assessed before rescheduling can occur. We reserve the right to apply credit for a rescheduled appointment of your choice as long as the rescheduling takes place within 5 business days of the original appointment date. Our Right to Cancel

Identify DC reserves the right to cancel or refuse any appointment for any reason at any stage of the process, including after an appointment has been confirmed. Some situations that may result in cancellations include gross inaccuracies/ misrepresentations, payment issues/fraud, safety concerns and/or location limitations. Our refund policy still applies.

Fingerprints

LiveScan fingerprinting is the process of capturing fingerprints electronically with our advanced LiveScan machine. With LiveScan fingerprinting, there is no ink or card. Your fingerprints are “rolled” across a glass plate and scanned. It is faster, cleaner and more accurate than the old ink-and-roll method.

A percentage of the population have difficult-to-read fingerprints, which can be due to age or certain types of work such as construction or from prolonged exposure to various chemicals. Our stateof-the-art equipment and highly trained staff are able to maximize the quality of fingerprint images obtained, which reduces the likelihood of illegible fingerprints and will reduce the overall application processing time. The fingerprints are then submitted to the specific state agency to process.

Because many government organizations such as Department of Justice, for example as well as other federal agencies require physical copies of your fingerprints, we provide an effective, efficient service to print any applicant's images on a standard fingerprint card (FD 258). If for some rare reason your prints are rejected, you will be given a reprint free of charge. Clients have 30 days from the date the fingerprints were taken to submit proof; such as documentation from the institution stating fingerprints failed.

Notary Services

Our mobile notary public provides convenient services to clients by traveling to their preferred location. We serve clients who are not willing or unable to travel to a notary public office. We are trained to handle a wide range of legal documents and are equipped to handle various notary services.

Here are some common types of documents that we can notarize:

  • Real Estate Documents: Deeds, title transfers and mortgages

  • Power of Attorney Documents

  • Wills and Trusts

  • Business Documents: Contracts, partnership agreements lending agreements and Articles of Incorporation

  • Medical Documents: Medical documents, such as living wills and advance directives

  • Original or copies of diplomas, GEDs, transcripts or documents issued by a school, university, college or other educational institution regardless of where it is located. With the exception of District of Columbia Public Charter Schools, we DO NOT notarize original or copies of diplomas, GEDs, transcripts or documents from District of Columbia Public Schools or the University of the District of Columbia.

  • Copies of any passports

  • Copies of any driver’s licenses, including those issued from the District of Columbia

  • Annual renewals of non-profit (501.c.3) forms

  • Any other documents that have a requirement for notarization (except as noted below)

We DO NOT Notarize:

  • Birth Certificates

  • Death Certificates

  • Marriage Certificates

  • Divorce Decrees

  • Documents issued by Departments or Agencies of the District of Columbia whether original or copies. These are documents that have the signature of the Agency or Department Director. If the document is, for example, simply an application with the logo, it is acceptable to notarize.

  • Federal Documents (ex: original passports, FBI fingerprints, I-9 forms)

  • Determinations of the original set-up for non-profit [501(c)(3)] forms

  • Blank Documents

DNA Testing Services

There is a clear expectation that customers receive accurate and reliable DNA test results, each and every time. Identify DC partners with Universal Forensics, an AABB accredited DNA laboratory, and together we are committed to the highest level of quality available in the industry to bring forth those results with the utmost confidence. Our expert laboratory staff offers a cutting edge mix of forensic DNA services and lab methods that exceed relationship testing standards by testing 40+ DNA markers, which is over 175% more than other DNA labs.

Identify DC offers Paternity and Relationship DNA testing. Relationship testing includes maternity, grandparent, siblings/twin zygosity and avuncular testing. Avuncular testing is used to confirm a biological relationship between a child and an aunt or uncle when the father isn’t available to determine paternity. We offer a non-paternity DNA test called Infidelity Testing. DNA infidelity testing is a science-based solution for finding out if someone may have been unfaithful. Using fabric you provide from underwear, other types of clothing or sheets, our tests can confirm or deny the presence of male/female DNA.
